About Robusta Clean Top Class Coffee

Understanding this, VCU has always focused on quality since its inception. As a result, the Robusta Clean Top Class product was created to meet the needs of roasters, coffee shop chains, and brands.

VCU is the first to produce the Robusta Clean Top Class product, meeting stringent standards for black, broken, impurities, moisture content, and high density. This product is an upgrade from the Robusta Clean variety, offering superior body, aroma, and flavor.

Green Coffee Processing

  • Harvesting: The quality of the final product is better with a higher percentage of ripe red cherries, resulting in higher costs.
  • Pre-processing: Depending on methods like dry processing, full-wash, or honey, different types of coffee beans are produced, eventually leading to raw coffee.
  • Classification: Coffee is classified by weight to separate high-density, full-bodied beans from broken, defective, or porous beans.
  • Sieving: Coffee is screened into sizes like screen 13, 16, 18.
  • Color Sorting and De-stoning: At VCU, 100% of green coffee beans undergo color sorting and de-stoning before being dispatched to ensure no foreign objects remain.
