Arabica coffee contains caffeine ranging from 1-2%. In Vietnam, Premium Arabica coffee can be found in high-altitude regions with cool climates such as Lam Dong, Son La, Dien Bien, and Khe Sanh (Quang Tri).
The favorable conditions from soil to climate have made Cau Dat Arabica thrive with high quality, earning it the title of “Queen of Vietnamese Coffee” and placing it among the finest coffees in the world. The flavor of Lam Dong Arabica coffee is described as having a mild acidity, light bitterness, creating an elegant, noble, and sophisticated taste. The higher the altitude and the lower the temperature, the better the quality of Arabica coffee. At an elevation of over 1600 meters above sea level, with cold weather and fog, combined with meticulous coffee harvesting processes, where only ripe cherries are picked, Lam Dong (Vietnam) has become an Arabica paradise.

This general term refers to Arabica coffee grown in Son La and Dien Bien provinces. The soil and cold climate in these regions also create favorable conditions for Arabica coffee to grow, contributing to Vietnam’s overall coffee production. Arabica coffee in Son La is grown on slopes under low mountain ranges or on small hills at altitudes ranging from 900 to 1200 meters. With its rainy and cold climate, Son La has become the second-largest Arabica coffee-producing province in Vietnam.

The elevation of this region is only between 350 and 500 meters above sea level. However, Khe Sanh has been chosen by the Vietnam Coffee-Cocoa Association as a pilot site for high-quality coffee production models, which have yielded results beyond expectations.
For the high-quality Arabica line, all cherries are hand-picked, with a minimum ripeness ratio of 97%, ensuring uniformity in color, quality, and flavor after roasting. Arabica coffee is carefully selected, meticulously processed, sorted by weight, screened, color-sorted, and stones removed to minimize the rate of black, broken, impurities, defective, and faulty beans, ensuring it meets the required standards.
Based on the SCA scale, premium products typically score between 75 and under 80 points. In 300 grams of coffee, no more than 8 full defects are allowed. The sample must have at least one distinct attribute: taste, acidity, body, aroma.
