PHILIPPINE CUSTOMERS SEEK LONG-TERM STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH VCU JSC
“We’ve found the right supplier.”
At the beginning of June 2024, the VCU team participated in the Philippine Coffee Expo trade fair in Makati City, Philippines. There, VCU had the opportunity to connect with many businesses from various regions of the Philippines and some other countries. Notably, the VCU team also visited several high-quality coffee production factories in this island nation.
Among the connections made, VCU established a relationship with a customer operating a coffee shop chain. On August 22nd, they visited Vietnam and toured VCU’s roasting facility.
“When we met VCU at the trade fair and received their business card, we went straight home and didn’t visit any other booths because we knew we had found the right supplier in Vietnam. This time, we’re here to discuss a potential partnership,” the customer shared.
A Desire for Long-Term Cooperation
During their visit to VCU, the customer revealed that their coffee supply in the Philippines was insufficient for their business, causing significant challenges. As a result, they decided to seek out a supplier in Vietnam, a country renowned for its coffee and the second-largest exporter in the world.
VCU is honored by the customer’s interest. On August 22nd, our R&D Manager shared in-depth insights about coffee, its advantages, flavor, body, and brewing methods with the customer. They also explored the coffee roasting process using our 60kg-capacity machine, and the customer even got to experience roasting coffee on a 6kg machine.
“I want my coffee shop to roast its own coffee so I can control the flavor. Therefore, I plan to import high-quality green coffee beans from Vietnam,” the customer added.
At the end of the visit and discussions with VCU, the two customers from the Philippines expressed a strong desire to build a long-term, trustworthy relationship for sustainable growth together.
